For the first time, the Penza Oblast will host the federal stage of the All-Russian competition of professional skills "Best in Profession" in the category "Best Lathe Operator".
During the briefing held in the regional government, the conditions and procedure for holding professional competitions were announced.
"The contest will be held in Penza on August 22 at the StankoMashStroy plant. Representatives of 19 regions of Russia will take part. The Penza Oblast will be represented by 2 people," said Roman Tryalin, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Industry of the Penza Oblast.
He explained that the competition will be held in person and will consist of two stages: theoretical and practical. 20 minutes will be allocated for testing theoretical knowledge in the field of special technology, labor protection and labor legislation. During this time, the contestants will have to answer 20 test questions. As part of the practical task, they will need to make a part according to the proposed drawing in 2 hours and 45 minutes.
"We guarantee participants equal and comfortable conditions; they will work on the new ST16K25B machines produced by our machine-tool factory with localization of almost 100%. Contestants will be able to get acquainted with their machines in advance," said Mikhail Antonov, First Deputy General Director of StankoMashStroy.
"The winners of the 2nd and 3rd places will receive cash prizes in the amount of 500 thousand and 300 thousand rubles, respectively, and the winner will get 1 million rubles," said Pavel Svistunov, First Deputy General Director of the National Qualifications Development Agency.
Members of the expert group (PSU professor Aleksandr Zverovshchikov and Natalia Leonova (Penza Standardization and Metrology Center) talked about the system of evaluation. They explained that the test will include theoretical questions on compliance with the production technology, labor protection standards and rules, as well as knowledge of advanced techniques and methods of work, and the ability to use tools and carry out self-quality control.
"The practical task will be really difficult, and the assessment will be absolutely anonymous and objective," the experts noted.
