The road between the villages of Abashevo and Pany was built within the federal project "Development of Tourist Infrastructure".
Access roads to the new road facility have been equipped within the "Safe High-Quality Roads" project. The section of the road to the village of Pani from Narovchat, and the Narovchat – Teleshovka part have been repaired. A bridge over the Bezymyanny stream has been reconstructed from the village of Abashevo.
A section of the Spassk –Abashevo road was also repaired at the expense of the Penza Oblast Road Fund.
Oleg Melnichenko noted that it was possible to create a unified road network. The total length of the new road with the bridge is about 30 kilometers.  
"This road will be an important help for the tourist route that is being built from Spassk, Abashevo to Narovchat (to the Kuprin Museum, the Trinity Monastery, and the Golden Horde town of Mokhshi)," Oleg Melnichenko stressed. I think this will improve the life of two districts, and create conditions for their development. Narovchat residents will no longer need to make extra kilometers to get on the M-5 highway, they can safely drive through Pany – Abashevo road."
The governor informed that it is planned to restore another road facility.
"It is necessary to put in order the road that leads to Nizhny Lomov. Then we will have a completed good tourist route that will connect two regional centers – the cities of Spassk and Narovchat. I congratulate their residents on the fact that we have completed this facility, worth about a billion rubles, quickly, and now it will delight people and contribute to the development of the economy, culture and tourism," Oleg Melnichenko stated.
He thanked the road builders, presenting regional awards to the distinguished workers.
"Our builders are great fellows: they work all over the region and have never let us down either in terms of road quality or deadlines for the completion of facilities," Oleg Melnichenko stated.
