The tasting exhibition was held in one of the Xi'an Aiju Grain and Oil Industrial Group Corporation buildings.

The opening ceremony was attended by the company's President Jia Hei and Penza Governor Oleg Melnichenko.

"The agro-industrial complex is the fastest growing branch of our economy. In terms of agricultural production growth, the Penza Oblast ranks fourth in the Russian Federation. Our region specializes on the production of grain, sunflower, sugar beet, meat, poultry, and milk," Oleg Melnichenko informed.

Eleven companies presented their products at the tasting exhibition: manufacturers of confectionery products, beverages, nuts and snacks, and agricultural products.

"Here are both traditional Russian goods and our unique local products: natural maple syrup, which we started producing first in the Russian Federation. Also, cold-pressed hemp and linseed oil: these are elements of native Russian cuisine, and their industrial production has recently been revived in our region, " Oleg Melnichenko explained.

Penza companies also presented product lines specially designed to meet the tastes of Chinese citizens.

"We aim to put these products on the shelves of Chinese stores in the future. It is important for us to get feedback and suggestions from the visitors today, " said Oleg Melnichenko.

Representatives of the People's Republic of China noted the interest of their compatriots in the exhibition, emphasizing that the demand for Russian goods in the country is growing.

Currently, the Penza Oblast actively cooperates with the Xi'an Ajiu Corporation – a leading Chinese enterprise in the field of agriculture. The total volume of export of Penza enterprises exceeds 230 million rubles.

"This year, our company purchased 15 thousand tons of wheat. By the end of the year, we plan to receive the first export deliveries of products from several other enterprises. We hope that in 2025 the people of Xi’an will be able to taste Penza products," said Jia Hei.

Currently, the first delivery of milk powder by Molkom is being worked out (Xi’an Aiju helped the company to purchase the equipment for milk powder production). In addition, a preliminary agreement was reached on the export supply of 7 tons of nuts by Unitron Prom. Manufacturers of confectionery products (Vanslad, Slavia, Sweet Life), low-alcohol beverages (Visit), and snacks (Region-Product) also plan to carry out the first export deliveries by the end of the year.

Xi'an Aijiu Corporation established cooperation with Penza businesses after the agreement signed in November 2023 between the governments of the Penza Oblast and Shaanxi Province and the visit of the company's delegation to our region.

"We would like to send our products to the Penza Oblast. I think that the agreement between the government of the Penza Region and Shaanxi Province will contribute to this," Jia Hei said.

After visiting the exhibition, a number of bilateral agreements aimed at developing the potential of enterprises and the regional economy were signed. Penza Dairy Plant and Vanslad company agreed to cooperate with Xi’an Aijiu Corporation. The Penza Oblast Development Corporation also signed an agreement with the Chinese company.

"I am confident that the implementation of the agreements will make a significant contribution to strengthening interregional ties between the Shaanxi Province of the People's Republic of China and the Penza Oblast of the Russian Federation," Oleg Melnichenko concluded.
