Residents of the Penza Oblast have access to 126 social projects that have reached the finals of the Our Contribution National Award. This is the first award in Russia that evaluates the contribution of businesses and non-profit organizations to achieving national goals and implementing national projects. All finalists are awarded the status of "Partner of Russia’s National Projects. "A total of 759 applications were submitted from 89 regions of the country. The final stage includes 550 projects from 252 organizations. Since 2021, the number of participating organizations and finalist projects in the Our Contribution National Award has increased more than 3.5 times.
Traditionally, the most popular national projects for social initiatives are Education, Demography, and Ecology.
The state actively invests in youth support and the formation of a talent pool for the technological sector. Businesses and non-profit organizations support these measures by implementing social projects.
A striking example is "Lesson in Digital Technologies", a nationwide educational project organized by ANO Digital Economy with the support of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Education. In the region, lessons have already taken place in Penza, Kamenka, Belinsky district schools, and other localities. Students learn how app stores function, what algorithms operate in messengers, and how artificial intelligence will change medicine, construction, and other fields. Such initiatives help young people make informed career choices and prepare a generation ready for the challenges of the digital economy.
Another notable finalist project is "Territory of Success: Pegasus", initiated by Rosenergoatom. Its goal is to help talented youth unlock their potential in more than 20 regions of the country, with events held in Zarechny.
The ORBI Stroke Foundation conducts the program "Children Protecting Adults", aimed at educating schoolchildren and students in the Penza region on the basics of stroke prevention and cardiovascular disease awareness. Medical volunteers explain the importance of proper nutrition, physical activity, and the early symptoms of a stroke.
The "Health Corner in Rural Post Offices", implemented by Russian Post, improves access to basic health diagnostics. Residents of rural areas in the Penza Oblast can use free blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeters, and non-contact thermometers in post offices. "Health Corners" have already been set up in Bolshaya Elan (Penza district), Telegino (Kolyshleysky district), Mais (Nikolsky district), and other localities.
Finalists of the Our Contribution National Award also contribute to the development of domestic tourism. For example, the "Own Getaway" online platform, launched by Rosselkhozbank, connects farmers and tourism companies, offering residents and guests of the Penza Oblast new destinations for weekend trips. Tourists can visit the "Museum of Water", where they will learn the secrets of traditional water production, visit a drinking well and tasting center, and sample natural non-alcoholic beverages at "Kuvakskaya Izba." For those interested in ethno-tourism, Danishino is a unique ethno-village where visitors can immerse themselves in 19th-century life, try traditional dishes, participate in culinary masterclasses, warm up by the fire in the evening, and enjoy an authentic Russian sauna. The platform continues to grow, regularly adding new routes, which increases tourist flow to the region.
