The working group, led by Deputy Chairman of the Penza Region Government Almaz Khakimov, included the head of the Cluster Development Center, Dmitry Senatorov, and representatives of furniture manufacturing companies.
During the visit, official meetings were held with Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev, Deputy Chairman of the Industry Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhamet Andakov, and Head of the Investment and Entrepreneurship Development Department of Astana Khalel Akimzhanov. The meetings featured a presentation of the industrial and investment potential of the Penza region, as well as investment projects proposed for implementation in the region.
An agreement was reached with the Akimat of Astana to develop an action plan for implementing cooperation agreements in all promising areas, including trade and economic interaction, education, and tourism.
Additionally, the program included B2B negotiations with major players in the furniture industry, visits to furniture factories, and major retail chains in Astana. Representatives of Penza-based companies reached agreements on furniture supplies to Kazakhstan. Furthermore, the possibility of deliveries within the framework of the "new housing with furniture" project was discussed.
At a meeting with the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Anton Loginov, discussions focused on customs procedures, product certification requirements, and available support measures from the Trade Representation.
"Partnership with our Kazakh colleagues has opened new prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthened economic ties between our countries. I am confident that the implementation of joint initiatives and projects will serve as a foundation for long-term growth and prosperity," Almaz Khakimov summarized the visit.
