A meeting took place in Moscow at the Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Russia.
Oleg Melnichenko congratulated Sin Hong Chol on the upcoming 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea, noting that this event marked a pivotal historical moment not only for the country but for the entire world.
"I am very pleased to meet with you," emphasized the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the DPRK to Russia. "The Chairman of the All-Russian political party 'United Russia', Dmitry Medvedev, is currently in Pyongyang, has already held negotiations with the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and is participating in events. Our people continue the struggle to achieve further successes and secure victory under the guidance of the Party. We will fully support the policy of the government, army, and people of the Russian Federation aimed at protecting state sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the country's security interests. We consider this our fraternal duty."
"Like all regions of the Russian Federation, we value the friendship and cooperation with the people of the DPRK. We operate within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty signed by Vladimir Putin and Comrade Kim Jong Un over a year ago," responded Oleg Melnichenko. "Penza Oblast aims to develop relations with the DPRK across all possible areas: industry, agriculture, culture, and tourism."
The Governor particularly highlighted Penza Oblast's readiness for cooperation in youth policy and education.
"Our universities and colleges train specialists in various sectors of production, medicine, agriculture, architecture, and construction. I am confident that we share many common points and have broad scope for experience exchange with the regions of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea," noted Oleg Melnichenko.
He also proposed that the Ambassador consider the possibility of a youth delegation from one of the Korean provinces participating in the "Gvardeets" patriotic youth gathering next year.
"I am convinced that the participation of your youth will help strengthen relations of friendship and mutual support between our peoples," summarized the head of the region, also inviting the Ambassador to visit Penza Oblast.
