Economy 02.12.2025
The VI Russian-Chinese Entrepreneurs Forum is underway in Xi'an, China, within the framework of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace, and Development – a key platform for people's diplomacy between Russia and China.
The event has brought together business representatives, regional authorities, and cultural and public figures from both countries.
Deputy Chairman of the Government and Minister of Agriculture of Penza Oblast Roman Kalentyev delivered a presentation on the region's agribusiness potential. As part of the "Agriculture" session, he reported on the current state and development trends of Penza Oblast's agricultural sector, key areas of agricultural production, and promising investment projects.
"Penza Oblast is one of Russia's leading agricultural regions with developed infrastructure and high export potential. We are open to cooperation with Chinese partners in the areas of agricultural processing, implementation of innovative agricultural technologies, and organization of joint production facilities," noted Roman Kalentyev.
In 2024, the volume of Russian agricultural exports to China exceeded $6 billion, with plans to double this figure by 2030.
Additionally, the forum included business meetings with representatives of major Chinese agribusiness companies, where mechanisms of cooperation, potential investment projects, and opportunities for developing small and medium enterprises were discussed. Topics covered supplies of eco-products, agricultural technologies, joint processing enterprises, certification, and logistics. The forum was noted as an effective platform for presenting the region's investment potential and seeking strategic partners in China.
