As part of a working visit to Penza Oblast, representatives from Khatlon Oblast of the Republic of Tajikistan visited the Mayak holding, the Vanyushkiny Sladosti confectionery factory, and the MedInzh research and production enterprise.
During an inspection of the production facilities at Mayak, Chairman of the Government of Penza Oblast Nikolai Simonov noted that the region maintains a leading position in Russia for wallpaper production and is also among the largest industry producers in the global market.
Mayak is continuously introducing new product lines, expanding export capabilities, improving working conditions, and adhering to environmentally friendly technologies. The enterprise annually processes 120,000 tons of waste paper.
The guests toured the workshops and laboratories, giving high praise to the production, noting its modern level and high export potential.
"We have an extensive market. The region is experiencing a construction boom, with the population growing by 2.5% annually, so the demand for your products remains consistently high," emphasized Davlatali Said, Chairman of Khatlon Oblast of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a business mission plan, under which representatives from Penza Oblast will visit Khatlon Oblast in March.
The second stop on the working program was a visit to the confectionery company Vanyushkiny Sladosti. The guests explored the possibilities of supplying Penza products to the Tajik market and establishing joint production.
"We have formed a favorable impression of the high level of production automation at the enterprise and the excellent quality of the products," noted Davlatali Said. "I have already invited representatives of the enterprise to visit our region. We would like to supply our agricultural products to Penza Oblast and also establish a joint venture for producing confectionery goods."
Natalia Kuzyakova, General Director of the enterprise, emphasized the importance of support from the Penza Oblast Government in the factory's development. Since 2017, the enterprise has received subsidies totaling 150 million rubles, which has allowed it to expand and modernize production and improve the quality of its products.
The delegation also visited the MedInzh research and production enterprise, which specializes in the development and production of artificial heart valves.
The guests familiarized themselves with the enterprise's operations, inspected the production line for heart valves, and visited the testing laboratory.
Aleksandr Evdokimov, General Director of MedInzh, highlighted the uniqueness of the Penza developments.
"Only a few foreign companies in the world produce such products. Due to sanctions, they left the Russian market. Penza specialists succeeded in fully replacing these imports," said  Evdokimov.
"The levels of technological application used at this enterprise have truly impressed us. We are interested in developing cooperation in this direction," concluded Davlatali Said, Chairman of Khatlon Oblast of the Republic of Tajikistan.
