The increase in agricultural land area in the Spassky, Narovchatsky, and Mokshansky districts is linked to the expansion of the turkey meat production project's capacity to 300,000 tons in slaughter weight per year, as well as the development of its own feed base. Investments have exceeded 48 million rubles.
The largest area of arable land was brought into circulation in the Mokshansky district – about 550 hectares. About 300 hectares were returned to circulation in the Spassky district and another 30 in the Narovchatsky district.
To develop the overgrown fallow land, tree and shrub vegetation was removed, stumps were uprooted, and the soil was tilled with heavy tillage implements. Crop farming is an important element of the production chain of the Damate group of companies. It allows the company to provide the growing poultry population with feed from its own production, control the quality of raw materials, and reduce production costs.
Traditionally, the company's cropping structure consists of winter and spring wheat, corn, and sunflowers.
