On the penultimate day of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Penza delegation held negotiations with the management of the companies "Wildberries" and "TransContainer."
"Wildberries" is implementing the second phase of an investment project on the territory of Penza Oblast to build a logistics complex with a total area of more than 180 thousand square meters. The installation of the main building structures, roofing, and walls is being completed at the site, and work on internal engineering systems continues. Simultaneously, landscaping work is being carried out on the adjacent territory.
Acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of Penza Oblast Almaz Khakimov and Deputy General Director for Construction of the company "RVB" (the unified structure of Wildberries and Russ) Konstantin Ruban discussed the project completion deadlines at the meeting, as well as issues of improving conditions for manufacturers in the region's furniture cluster.
During a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Delo Group of Companies Andrei Sokolov, the discussion focused on the next stage of development of the Penza-2 container terminal. TransContainer has been working on this issue over the past three years, which has made it possible to launch container trains with cargo from China, as well as to implement a project for the delivery of particle boards along the Sharya–Penza-2 route. This serves as an alternative to road transport for the delivery of raw materials to small and medium-sized cabinet furniture manufacturers in Penza.
The reconstruction of the site will double the terminal's capacity and cargo handling productivity. The head of the Penza delegation informed the investor company's representative that the region has fulfilled its obligation to find a suitable land plot for the project.
