On February 20th, 2019, the Governor attended the Russian President’s Message to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

Commenting upon the Message, the Head of the region called it a breakthrough one emphasizing the most significant topics for Penza region, first and foremost in the social sphere.

“In recent years in the field of healthcare we have been actively dealing with problems that the President called on to tackle: eliminating the deficiency of medical personnel, creating a system of palliative medical assistance, opening new nursing and obstetric stations (NOS). This year we are planning to build 4 new NOSs in Penza region, as well as to recondition another 4 NOSs in emergency state” – said Ivan Belozertsev.

The Governor pointed out that the President highly rated the “Saving polyclinic” project already being piloted in several Russian regions, including Penza region.

Taking into account the best regional practices, the Head of the State instructed the RF Government to establish the standards of saving polyclinics and approve attestation rules already this year, and next year – jointly with regional authorities to introduce motivating tools for managerial and medical personnel to improve performance.

“Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin directed us to transfer, first of all, every children’s polyclinic to the new standards by 2021, - stated Ivan Belozertsev. – At my personal request, the experience of the “Saving polyclinic” project, being realized in Penza region since 2017, is currently being adopted in 32 medical institutions of our region. According to the outcomes, the functioning efficiency at places running the project has grown over 30%”.

“To eliminate lines to the reception, to reduce waiting time to see a doctor and to make doctor’s examination the most comfortable for a patient are the objectives we are thoroughly working on” – concluded the Governor.
