The Governor commented on the pillars of the Russian President’s Message to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Wednesday February 20th, 2019.
Vladimir Putin stated that the number of students from small settlements and outlying districts in capital and regional Russian universities was rising. As estimated by the Head of the State, it is an indicator of qualitative changes in school education. The President declared that by the end of 2021 all educational institutions must be connected to high-speed internet, as it gives students access to lessons and lectures by well-known teachers, a chance to participate in competitions and contests, to implement joint online projects with peers from other regions of the Russian Federation and abroad.
«It is very important to offer young people new opportunities for development. At the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi we signed an agreement of cooperation between Penza region and “University 2035” non-profit organization in the field of educational development. The project will provide professional development of people in the digital economy and be focused on training of company leaders, participants of the National Technological Initiative and experts working in global markets. Thus, graduates will obtain exactly those competences that young people require after university graduation to get employed. It is also planned to sign an agreement between “University 2035” and PSU” – said Ivan Belozertsev.
At the Governor’s request, Penza region intensifies preparation for youth professional skills competitions. In 2019 there will be new specialized centers of competences open in the region to train participants of WorldSkills Russia national competition.
On the grounds of Penza College of Architecture and Construction it is planned to create a specialized center of competences (SCC) in welding engineering and metalworking, on the basis of Penza College of Food Industry and Commerce – in the field of cooking and confectionery. Such SCCs as “Brick production” and “Physical training and sport” have already been accredited.
The main goal of such centers is to improve the training level of young specialists to participate in professional skills competitions and to strengthen the human resource potential for industrial enterprises of Penza region. The number of accredited and certified experts rises every year.
In 2018 six contestants from Penza region took part in the national professional skills competition. Our fellow-townsmen won a gold medal in the “Physical training and sport” competence and also 4 awards for high achievements and professionalism in the fields of wall paining and decoration, catering, confectionary, medical and laboratory analysis.
