The issue of business support became one of the key topics of the Governor’s investment message announced in the Penza Philharmonic Hall on Tuesday, March 19th, 2019.

The Head of the region highlighted that this sphere is strategic for the regional economy.

“We expect the total number of businessmen running small and medium business to exceed 200 thousand people by 2024, but the 40-thousand-people increase will be possible only provided changes in approaches and mechanisms of small and medium business support. We see our objective in establishing a system in which each entrepreneur will be able to acquire the required product and support. First of all, the access to financial resources as, according to the experience, it is the main problem of our business” – stated Ivan Belozertsev.

According to his view, cardinal transformations have already begun. Apart from the regional resources, this goal has attracted around 570 million rubles from federal reserves. The “Guarantor” foundation will be capitalized 230 million rubles more in 2019, and the maximum amount of microloans will rise from 3 to 5 million rubles.

The Head of the region called upon business representatives to take a more active part in concessional lending programs.

“We must pay special attention to social entrepreneurship, - he noted. – This year 36 million rubles will be allocated to subsidize expenditure of entrepreneurs who support physically challenged people, elderly citizens and people in difficult situations”.

“This area should be developed more actively. I request the executives of the corresponding state bodies, head of municipal districts to consolidate efforts and engage in this work more dynamically” – added Ivan Belozertsev.

The Regional Foundation for Business Support, which will include the Center of Business Support and the Center of Export Support, is to receive over 104 million rubles in 2019. These funds will give an opportunity for over 2500 entrepreneurs to participate in workshops, trainings, business missions and educational programs of the federal “Corporation of Small and Medium Business” and the “Russian Export Center”.
