During a report on the Penza Regional Government’s performance in 2018 Ivan Belozertsev announced key indicators of the external economic activity on the 20th regular session of the Legislative Assembly of the region on Tuesday, April 30th, 2019.

“Owing to the broadening of product lines and the geography of shipments last year the external trade turnover totaled 13,6%, while the export growing rates 3,5 times exceeded the import growth. Penza region sells goods from 71 commodity groups out of 97 available. The third of all export was provided by machine-building companies. They together with timber and pulp-and-paper factories increased shipment abroad by 47%. The growth by 36% was demonstrated by food industry and agriculture” – informed the Governor.

“To intensify entering markets we offer grants to business to compensate costs of participating at international exhibitions in foreign countries. This opportunity has been seized already by 15 companies. 247 small and medium businesses have become clients of the Export Support Center” – he specified.
