The preliminary results were considered by members of the regional government at an operational meeting on Monday, September 23rd, 2019.
“We have to constantly monitor the situation, take measures to eliminate possible risks concerning failures to meet the deadline or quality breaches of the measures carried out. In the course of construction or repair works, we must use only high-quality materials, resort to services only by responsible providers and contractors”, directed the Governor.
The head of the regional executive power charged to control the costs and terms of road works within the national project “Safe and high-quality highways”.
He noted that the road works in the region must be performed in such a manner so that in case of probable cost-saving the technology of road carpet laying was observed.
In 2019 the works have been carried out in 174 sites. As of today, the works are complete in 165.
“We are not able to place a supervisor on every meter of the highway, therefore the contractors must financially substantiate all their works and meet all finishing terms as well”, emphasized the Governor.
Members of the regional government discussed the implementation of the regional project “Public health promotion” turning particular attention to the fact that the main causes of able-bodied men mortality still remained transport accidents and alcohol addiction.
A decision was made to conduct off-schedule inspections of stores. Moreover, pursuing the goal of restraining alcohol product sales the Ministry of Healthcare of Penza region submitted proposals of amendments to the effective regulation to the Legislative Assembly of Penza region.
“It is necessary to pay increased attention to healthy lifestyle promotion, to hold conversations and discussions, mass sport events”, instructed Ivan Belozertsev.
