During a briefing session held via videoconference on Monday, October 25, 2021 Oleg Melnichenko informed about the appointments in the Penza Oblast government.
Nikolay Simonov has been confirmed as Chairman of the Penza Oblast Government. Introducing the newly appointed head of the regional Cabinet of Ministers, Oleg Melnichenko noted his high professional level.
"Nikolay Simonov has enormous managerial experience in the field of industry. From the first days of his working life, he worked in industrial production, so he knows it very well," the head of the region noted.
Aleksandr Grishayev became the region's Minister of Construction and Road Management.
"This is a person who works effectively on the implementation of national projects. I also wish Aleksandr Grishayev success in his work in the future," Oleg Melnichenko commented.
Aleksandr Italyantsev is appointed First Deputy Minister, Head of the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture of the Penza Oblast Ministry of Construction and Road Management and the region's chief architect.
"Aleksandr Italyantsev is from the Penza Oblast, he has worked for a long time in some other regions in various positions including those in the creative and architectural field. His previous place of work was in Moscow, but recently he agreed to join the Penza Oblast management team. I think we need a fresh eye. We must complete all the initiated reforms in the region's system of urban development," Oleg Melnichenko said.
He clarified that the new chief architect, working at the region's Ministry of Construction, will be directly subordinate to the governor.
Svetlana Kruglova took the position of Deputy Minister, Head of the Construction Department of the Penza Oblast Ministry of Construction and Road Management. Aleksey Kachan became the region's Minister of Labour, Social Protection and Demography. Eduard Katashov was appointed First Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
Alla Markova, acting First Deputy Minister of Education, is now in charge of duties of the Penza Oblast Minister of Education.
Vladimir Zhuchkov, acting First Deputy Minister of Fitness and Sports, is performing the duties of the Minister of Fitness and Sports. And Maria Yurina, winner of "The Penza Oblast Is the Region of Opportunities" personnel Fitness and Sports.
The head of the region explained that the candidacies of the Ministers of Education and Sports are currently at the approval stage. Information about appointments to these positions will be provided later.
Roman Tryalin took the post of Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Industry. Mikhail Antonov has been approved as Acting Deputy Minister, Head of the Industry Department of the Penza Oblast Ministry of Economic Development and Industry.
Marina Vorobyova is appointed Deputy Minister, Head of the Department of Medical Care for Children and Maternity Services of the Penza Oblast Health Ministry. Nikolay Makarov became the head of the Penza Oblast Government representative office under the RF Government.
Since October 28, Pavel Shuvalkin will work as Deputy Minister, Head of the Department for Interaction with Law Enforcement Agencies of the Penza Oblast Ministry of Public Security and Ensuring the activities of magistrates in the Penza Oblast.
