The Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Governor of the Penza Region held the working meeting in Moscow on 30 January 2019.
Valery Lidin, Chairman of the regional Legislative Assembly, Oleg Melnichenko, Chairman of the Committee on Federal Structure, Regional Policies, Local Self-Governance and Affairs of the North, and Aleksey Dmitriyenko, member of the Committee on Economic Policy, also attended the meeting.
Opening up the business discussion, the head of the upper chamber of the Russian Parliament noted that the Days of the RF constituent entity is a good chance to show the potential of the region at the federal level, present successes and challenges, and share its experience.
“I am aware that the committees meetings of your colleagues and members of the Federation Council substantive and meaningful, so that they discussed the activities of the senior executives in the Penza region,” ValentinaMatviyenko addressed the head of the region.
“Generally speaking,you set a high bar with your job and do your utmost. You have something to brag about,” she commended.
Ivan Belozertsev thanked the head of the Federation Council for the opportunity to present the Penza Region in the Russian Parliament and underscored the significance of this event.
“We did our best to introduce the Penza Region to the representatives of all the constituent entities of the Russian Federation working here. It is important to us that the members of the Federation Council know about the Penza Region, its industrial and investment potential,”the governor explained.
