Best German and English language teachers will go abroad for training

On October 11th, at the PSU’s Pedagogical Institute, within the regional project “Teachers of the future” of the “Education” national project, there were announced the first stage results of the regional program “Rendering of educational services devoted to increase professional skills and to complete training abroad of foreign language teachers from secondary educational institutions located in Penza region”.

30 teachers of the German language and 30 teachers of the English language had been improving their level of communicative skills and subject teaching techniques with leading educators from PSU and native speakers, using distance learning technologies inter alia. Special attention had been paid to efficient methods and ways of establishing oral and written communication in foreign languages.

On the results of the first stage, 12 best teachers will go abroad for training in November: 6 people to Hastings, Great Britain, and 6 people – to Berlin.

“The program has made it possible both to broaden the occupational horizons and to advance into the level of the language we came here for. What’s important now is to implement the knowledge obtained in practice”, noted Olga Kobzeva, a program participant and a German language teacher from School No 2 of Baskmakovo.

Lilia Chashchina, the First Deputy Minister of Education, marked: “Of course, it is not for the training that you took part in the program, but to learn something new, interesting, needed. Now, you have become members of the grand linguistic community and, having returned home, you will unite your colleagues and students around you and create exactly what your children need”.

According to the results, Angelina Zharkova, Natalya Galkina, Elena Ionova, Marina Kargaeva, Maria Romanova and Irina Pleshakova will go to Great Britain.

Ekaterina Dobryakova, Dmitriy Zakharov, Olga Kobzeva, Raisa Karimova, Natalya Levina and Natalya Runova will head to Berlin.

Reference. The regional program “Rendering of educational services devoted to increase professional skills and to complete training abroad of foreign language teachers from secondary educational institutions located in Penza region” has been implemented in Penza region on the initiative of Governor Ivan Belozertsev from 2017. For the said period of time 120 teachers of the English language have completed intensive training courses, and the top 24 – the training in Great Britain.

The program participants created the association of English language teachers, and hold training seminars and demonstration lessons for colleagues.

In 2019, over 4 million rubles have been allocated from the regional budget to implement the program.

The “Education” national project is realized in accordance with the Decree of the RF President of 07.05.2018 No 204.
