A humanitarian mission from Finland arrived to Penza

On Monday, October 21st, 2019, the Governor’s House was the venue for a panel discussion devoted to the humanitarian cooperation between Finland and Penza region.

Opening the meeting, Oleg Yagov, deputy chairman of the Government of Penza region, emphasized that starting from 2006 Penza region and Finland had been closely cooperating in the sphere of trade and economic relations development, as well as in the fields of culture, education, social and legal support of citizens.

In the course of the panel discussion, Elena Egorova, acting Minister of Labor of Penza region, introduced directions of state support in the fields of social security and employment of the population implemented in the region.

“Improving life standards of the population, ensuring a high level of social security for the needy and socially vulnerable citizens are the priorities of the social policy of Penza region”, highlighted Elena Egorova.

During the meeting, Elena Rogova, ombudsman in Penza region, spoke about topical problems of civil rights and freedoms protection in the region.

On October 22nd, the guests from Finland visited the Regional Social Rehabilitation Center For Children and Young Physically-Challenged People and Penza State University.
