“Ecology” national project: the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment referred Penza region to the best

In the course of the federal project “Preservation of unique water bodies” within the “Ecology” national project in 2019, Penza region is clearing the bed of the Truev river in Kuznetsk district and a section of the Kolyshley river from Karaulovka village to Sushchevka village of Kolyshley district.


As of today, the work on the Truev river has been completed, the total cleared distance is 1,035 km. Currently, the measures are being taken to compensate fish resource damage.

The Kolyshley river is the only water source for the adjacent settlements. The river bed clearing by a hydraulic dredge has entered the final stage. The removal of the excavated ground from the pool as well as reclaiming will have been finished by December 1st.

For the work on the Kolyshley river, there were assigned 5 million rubles including compensation of damage to the water biological resources. At the present moment, the cash execution constitutes 2,80 million rubles.

Reference. The goal of the federal project “Preservation of unique water bodies” is to preserve by 2024 at least 98 unique water bodies by recovery and ecological rehabilitation of at least 98 thousand ha of water bodies, clearing of at least 260 km of riverbeds, as well as collecting garbage from banks and lake and river areas, including lakes Baikal, Teletskoe, Ladozhskoe, Onezhskoe and the rivers Volga, Don, Ob, Yenisei, Amur, Ural, Pechora.

By 2024, within the federal project it is intended to recover and ecologically rehabilitate water bodies, improve the ecological condition of lakes, water storage basins and drainage networks, as well as to collect litter from banks and water areas, to preserve Teletskoe lake.
