More than 50,000 volunteers have already applied for the Year of Memory and Glory events on the updated portal of the all-Russian public movement "Victory Volunteers". 320 of them are the Penza Oblast residents. Caring young people will help organise the main events of the Year of Memory and Glory.
"We plan to train more than 100,000 volunteers who can not only become co-organisers of major events, but also provide real assistance. This includes taking care of veterans, helping to restore the family tree, improving memorial sites and military graves, and much more. Together with our partners, we have developed a single standard for training volunteers, which tells not only about the functions and skills of volunteers, but also about the history of the Second World War," Olga Amelchenkova, head of the Movement, commented.
