Representatives of the Penza public took the initiative to create a regional project called "Mutual Assistance Platform".

It combines social initiatives that help the region's citizens overcome difficulties during the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19). To help people in need an Internet platform for interaction between the regions' citizens, government authorities, business structures and voluntary associations is available on the Portal of the Penza Oblast Social Non-Profit Organisations: https://nkopenza.ru/

"Mutual Assistance Platform" includes information about current projects in the Penza Oblast, volunteer organisations' activities, hotline phones and all types of assistance and support available to citizens from public officials during the isolation period caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The site also tells about the activities of volunteers, how to help in the implementation of regional projects, and what resources volunteers need to continue managing the region's headquarters effectively.

"The starting 'Mutual Assistance Platform' is important, its task is to reflect the actions of our consolidated efforts in caring for the disabled, elderly, lonely people - those who face difficulties today.  We invite others to cooperate – hundreds of people are waiting for our help and compassion, remember this," Olga Chistyakova, chair of the Union of Women of Russia Penza regional branch, said.
