The grand opening of the "I Give My Heart to Children" all-Russian professional skill competition for extracurricular studies staff was held on Saturday, November 21. 90 teachers of the extracurricular studies took part in 9 categories.
The Penza Oblast is represented by Ilya Mordovin, Serdobsk Centre of Children's Creativity (category "Extracurricular studies teacher in the technical field"), and Repsime Rusina, Penza youth centre No.1 (category "Extracurricular studies teacher in the artistic field").
The contestants gave demonstration lessons on November 22. Today they are to have a test called "4K" aimed at teachers showing the competences of the 21st century, such as inter-personal skills, collaboration, critical thinking skills and creativity. Contestants work in teams of five during two hours. The contest's topic is "Development and presentation of a draft future extracurricular studies institution of the year 2025", so that to take into account relevant trends and promising prospects of the development of the education itself and different types of educational institutions.
The team work results in a creative work defence where each of the contestants has a say to voice his own and the team's view of one of the issues shown at a picture.
Today the jury will announce the winners of the categories who will continue to compete for the title of an absolute winner.
