Ivan Belozertsev presented her with a certificate and a Badge of Honour "For the Glory of the Penza Land" on Sunday, February 28, 2021.
Darya Melnichenko is a mother who raised two daughters and two sons.
"I have come to congratulate you on your birthday, to say words of great gratitude and to thank you for your work, for raising beautiful children and grandchildren. You have passed a long, hard way of life: the Great Patriotic War and the post-war years, you worked hard for the good of the Fatherland," the Governor addressed the veteran of labour and the widow of a Great Patriotic War participant.
"Many thanks to you and to the whole generation of winners," said Ivan Belozertsev.
Darya Melnichenko worked as a boiler room operator in the Penza military town for the last 30 years before her retirement in 1989. Today she lives in a comfortable apartment with her daughter and granddaughter.
"You look great, I sincerely wish you good health and long life," the Governor wished for Darya Melnichenko.
