On Saturday, March 20, the 3rd "Victory Volunteers" regional education forum was held in the Youth House.
The forum was attended by the heads of the municipal headquarters of the "Yunarmia" All-Russian Children's and Youth Military-Patriotic Public Movement, coordinators and activists of the "Victory Volunteers" municipal branches, schoolchildren, who took an active part in holding events dedicated to the Year of Memory and Glory, representatives of the "Russian Movement of Schoolchildren" All-Russian Public-State Children's and Youth Organisation.
Aleksandr Voronkov, the minister of education, welcomed the participants and noted that a powerful patriotic movement has been created in the region. All the region's schools take part in the Russian movement of schoolchildren, more than 5 thousand schoolchildren are already members of the "Yunarmia" movement, and the cadet movement is developed.
The head of the department thanked all the volunteers for their contribution to the celebration of the Great Victory Day, for their assistance to war veterans and home front participants and for the implementation of the "We Are Together" campaign and gave them Letters of Thanks.
At the end of the forum opening ceremony, the winners and prize-winners of the regional competition of honour guards and ceremonial groups of the Post No. 1 "Sentries of Memory" were awarded.
