On Wednesday, May 19, 2021 Oleg Melnichenko and Rashid Temrezov discussed the possibility of signing an agreement on cooperation between the two RF administrative units.
The main topics of the business conversation were agro-industrial development and cooperation in the field of tourism.
"The sowing campaign in the Penza Oblast is going well — more than 70 percent of the planned amount has already been done. Now, if it rains, the plants will grow. The forecasts have been good so far," the acting Governor brought information about the current situation in agriculture.
"The Penza Oblast is an industrial and agricultural region. Our producers demonstrate great indicators for turkey meat. The region has a "core" for the manufacturing products from this type of poultry – the largest and most technologically advanced production in the country," he added.
Rashid Temrezov also highly appreciated the activities of the Damate agricultural holding.
"They began to diversify their business and develop mutton production", - he said.
According to Oleg Melnichenko, Damate is one of the most efficient and actively developing companies.
"The agro-industrial holding occupies a leading position in the production of turkey meat and continues to increase its production," the acting Governor stressed.
The parties also touched upon the issue of strengthening interregional relations in terms of developing the tourism industry.
They outlined the prospects for signing a cooperation agreement between the two regions – the Penza Oblast and the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.
