Rehabilitation of stroke patients in the second regional vascular centre of the G. Zakharyin Clinical Hospital No. 6 has reached a higher level.
The institution received modern robotic machines thanks to the "Fight against cardiovascular diseases" federal programme of the "Healthcare" national project. With their help, specialists have already begun to conduct courses of rehabilitation treatment.
The arsenal of rehab experts was replenished with 3 devices for mechanotherapy, a system for active rehabilitation of the upper extremities and the development of fine motor skills, as well as a rehabilitation suspension for the patient's verticalisation.
"All the equipment has already been put into operation, each of the devices is unique in its own way and allows patients to start rehabilitation after a stroke immediately, which helps reduce the risk of acute complications and pathological conditions," says Lidia Shvetsova, a rehabilitologist of the Department of Neurology No. 1 of the G. Zakharyin Clinical Hospital No. 6.
