Penza Regional Oncological Dispensary is still replacing its equipment with newer machines. By the end of the year, thanks to the "Healthcare" national project, the medical institution should receive 14 more high-tech medical devices. Each of them will facilitate the doctors' work and save many patients' lives.
One of the latest purchases is an ultrasonic dissector, a processor-controlled device for ultrasound selective tissue separation, cutting and coagulation and treatment of wounds. It cost 7 million rubles allocated from the federal budget.
"A few years ago, such equipment was only available in large federal centres," says Anton Stolyarov, deputy chief physician of the Penza Regional Oncological Dispensary. "Today, such equipment also helps regional oncological surgeons in their daily practice."
This ultrasonic dissector, which is effective in all areas of surgical use of ultrasound, is already the second one in the Penza Oncological Centre.
The Sonoca 300 model, which was received as part of the "Fight against Cancer" federal programme of the "Healthcare" national project, is more innovative and in many respects surpasses similar devices made by other manufacturers.
"This device is multi purpose and its capabilities are absolutely unique," Anton Stolyarov explains. "In addition to the fact that it combines all the necessary functions and essentially replaces four devices from other manufacturers, depending on the tasks the device can work at three different frequencies and perform ultrasound coagulation with a cross section, selective tissue dissection, deep sanitation and cleaning of wound surfaces."
The device is independent. It can recognise the connected tool and automatically adjust all the necessary parameters: frequency, irrigation performance and intensity.
According to Anton Stolyarov, this feature is very time-saving and allows a doctor to start the surgery at once.
"The use of an ultrasound dissector on a mobile cart in the operating room will allow our surgeons to solve a wide range of tasks using the latest technologies," Anton Stolyarov says.
