The solemn ceremony of handing over the vehicles to medical organisations took place on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
The cars were purchased as part of the implementation of the All-Russian project aiming at the modernisation of primary health care. In 2021, 74 modular paramedic and obstetric centres and eight modern outpatient clinics are being created in the region. Also, as part of the project, the sanitary transport is being modernized. The first 13 cars were delivered in January 2021.
"Today we are handing over 12 cars to central district and microdistrict hospitals. They are needed, first of all, for work in rural areas and remote settlements," the acting head of the region noted.
Modern ambulances will be delivered to the Bashmakovskaya, Bekovskaya, Vadinskaya, Kolyshleyskaya, Narovchatskaya, Nikolskaya and Pachelmskaya district hospitals, as well as Kuznetskaya and Nizhnelomovskaya interdistrict hospitals. Two more cars will be delivered to the Penza district hospital.
Oleg Melnichenko is confident that the new vehicles will become medical institutions' reliable equipment helping to provide high-quality medical care to the rural population. He added that the supply of special vehicles will go on.
"Our main task, which was set by the President of the Russian Federation, is the development of primary care. We must fulfill the obligations that we have assumed," the acting governor summed up.
Seven more vehicles are planned to be given to medical institutions in October this year.
From 2021 to 2025, a total of 144 sanitary vehicles will be purchased under the primary health care modernization programme.
