The acting governor announced this on Friday, August 13, 2021 noting that the award is meant for citizens who did much in the field of saving and increasing historical knowledge and contributed to the education of younger generations.
"I signed the corresponding resolution just yesterday. I believe that such an award is necessary for the region, since the work of many of our fellow countrymen who have significant achievements in this field can and should be paid tribute to," Oleg Melnichenko informed.
"The badge of honour will be awarded to people who have distinguished themselves in search, historical and military-patriotic activities, and those who are working on the education of young people, as well as to those who provide assistance to search clubs, historical societies and patriotic organisations," the acting head of the region specified.
