On Wednesday, August 18, Tatyana Vasilyeva, Deputy Minister of Education of Russia, visited the regional centre for children's additional education of the Institute of Regional Development (IRD) in the Penza Oblast.
In the second building of the Institute (119, Chaadayev Street), there are several structural divisions of the IRD. The regional centre for children's additional education in the Penza Oblast was opened on October 1, 2019 as part of the "Success of every child" federal project of the "Education" national project. The project involves the introduction of a development model for a regional system of additional education in the Penza Oblast.
Tatyana Vasilyeva was shown the premises and equipment purchased thanks to the federal project. Before the new academic year, repairs were made here. Teachers can discuss topical issues of education at a round table at the renovated coworking centre. In the lecture hall the project participants can use PCs to gain the knowledge necessary for teaching in the additional education institutions. As part of the project, specialists in each Penza Oblast municipality are provided with high-performance laptops and tablets.
“We have also organised a secure communication channel for working with personal data. Everything's funded by the federal budget," explained Oksana Senkina, director of the regional centre for children's additional education of the Institute of Regional Development in the Penza Oblast.
The RF Deputy Minister of Education saw how the centre's staff works with the equipment purchased for teachers of additional education institutions. Tatyana Vasilyeva asked a number of questions concerning various aspects of the functioning of the Institute of Regional Development branches.
"August is a significant time for the education system, when the results are being summed up and plans for the new academic year are being made. On the eve of September 1, teachers should be absolutely ready to work and use new methods," Tatyana Vasilyeva stressed.
She noted that such centres are a good help for teachers. The Deputy Minister of Education of Russia was satisfied with the readiness of the Penza Oblast Institute of Regional Development branches for the beginning of the new academic year.
