The solemn ceremony of signing the document took place during the opening of the VII All-Russian forum "InnoMed", held in the Rameyev Technopark on Thursday, August 26, 2021.
The agreement between the Federal Service for Intellectual Property and the Penza Oblast Government defines the basis for cooperation and interaction between the parties.
Rospatent undertakes to support the development of innovations and technologies in the region, to improve legal literacy by providing access to specialised databases, to promote the training and advanced training of specialists in the IP industry.
"The exhibition of the "InnoMed" forum presents advanced technologies. It is great that the local authorities and the government as a whole support this field," said Grigory Ivliyev, head of Rospatent. "The most applications in 2020 and 2021 are those in the field of medicine. By working at this exhibition Penza makes a significant contribution to the global process of combating the pandemic and helping people recover."
Vasily Shpak, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, noted that over the years of its existence, the Penza forum has become an important interdepartmental platform that helps the Russian medical industry to develop further.
"I wish fruitful work to all participants of the "InnoMed" forum. We are waiting for your new ideas and achievements," Vasily Shpak addressed the representatives of the exhibiting enterprises. "For our part, as the federal executive authority responsible for the development of the industry, we will make every effort to provide you with all possible support."
Oleg Melnichenko expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and Rospatent for cooperation with the Penza Oblast, its inventors and manufacturers of unique products.
"I think that this forum has a huge potential, we see it as one of the key platforms where we can demonstrate our capabilities and also offer to invest in the Penza Oblast and establish high-tech production plants here. Moreover, there are conditions for this," the acting governor summed up.
As part of the forum, a protocol of intent on cooperation was also signed between the Penza Oblast Government and the Association of Organisations of the Military-Industrial Complex Producing Medical Devices and Equipment. The document was signed by the acting governor of the region Oleg Melnichenko and the general director of the Association Aleksandr Smirnov.
