On Tuesday, September 7 Oleg Yagov, acting First Deputy Chairman of the Penza Oblast Government, held a meeting on the implementation of national projects. The event was attended by the heads of the regional ministries of education, culture and tourism, fitness and sports, as well as the project office of the regional government.
AleksandrVoronkov, acting Minister of Education of the Penza Oblast, reported that in 2021 more than 839 million rubles have been allocated for the national project "Education", with 281 million rubles already spent.
He noted that on September 1, 21 "Points of Growth" (natural science education centres in rural schools) began to work, 70 region's schools received modern computers, facilities and resources of the Kuznetskaya and Nizhnelomovskaya schools for students of adaptive educational programmes were modernised: updated workshops, a sports hall, a speech therapist's and a psychologist's offices were opened.
The Centre for Continuous Professional Development of Teachers, the Regional Centre for Additional Education, the Centre for Advanced Professional Training as well as four modern construction workshops at the Penza College of Architecture and Construction have started working.
On September 10-11 it is planned to hold the grand opening of the first Quantorium school technopark in the region and the second IT-centre, which will operate at the Kuznetsk College of Electronic Technology.
The supply of equipment for the "Klyuchevsky" Centre for the Support of the Penza Oblast Gifted Children and Youth is actively underway.
Oleg Yagov stressed that it was necessary to strictly control the timing of work and equipment delivery. "Our task is to fulfill the indicators of the national project completely," he emphasised.
