On Thursday, October 7, 2021 Marat Khusnullin, RF Deputy Prime Minister, held a meeting of the commission to discuss issues of the "Housing and urban environment" national project implementation. The Penza Oblast was noted to show high rates of cash execution of the project.
"The Penza Oblast is quite a developed region," the Deputy Prime Minister of the RF Government stressed. "We have gained a good pace in housing, and I ask you to maintain it."
Another thing on the agenda was the commission's consideration of applications from the RF regions to participate in the project selection for obtaining infrastructure budget loans.
In our region, it is planned to implement a project for the construction of transport infrastructure and the renewal of rolling stock in the Penza city agglomeration. The project includes the organisation of a state-owned motor transport enterprise, the creation of transport hubs, parking lots, gas filling complexes, as well as the purchase of new gas-powered buses.
"The project implementation period is 2022-2023, the goals are to renew the rolling stock, to construct transport infrastructure and to make all public transport routes work at a regulated tariff," stated Oleg Melnichenko. "The project will cost 6.4 billion rubles, with 50% budgetary funds and another 50% extra-budgetary sources given by the VEB.RF state corporation."
The head of the region emphasised that the first steps for the successful implementation of the project have already been taken.
"The authority to organise public transport services in the Penza city agglomeration has been transferred to the regional government, so from January 1, 2022, it will already be our regional authority. We have created a state-owned institution called The Penza Oblast Transportation Organiser, and the documents on planning the work of public transport will have been prepared by the end of this year," Oleg Melnichenko said.
"The members of the commission have no comments and additions to this information, so the Penza Oblast's application is approved," Marat Khusnullin summed up.
