Students of the Penza State University, Agro-Industrial College and IT College making the EZ.BERKUT esports team took third place in the online competition Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - IMC College Clash
held on January 28-30. IMC College Clash is an international tournament for college-age players, held by IMC and the leading esports organisation Team Liquid. There are participants from Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific region.
Penza players won bronze, beating the team of Watford Institute of Technology, Ireland. In addition, Penza residents beat teams from Poland, Norway and Russia and only lost in the semifinals to the Russian-Estonian team, which eventually became the winner. A total of 64 teams took part in the tournament.
The EZ.BERKUT team included students of the Penza State University namely Lev Zotkin (M1F), Dmitry Bogatyryov (WatchOut), Aleksandr Meshcheryakov (TefeRRR), as well as Stanislav Sidorov (13MELIODAS37) from the Penza Agro-Industrial College and Aleksey Zorin (rainrani) from the IT College.
