Penza Oblast Continues to Implement "Safe and High-quality Roads" Project

In 2022, as part of the "Safe and High-quality Roads" national project it is planned to repair the street and road networks located in the immediate vicinity of the Penza Oblast educational institutions.
Those sites include:
* the road along the Sovkhoz-tekhnikum Street to the Penza Agricultural College;
* sidewalk on Belyayev Street to the Zarya hall;
* sidewalk on Sobinov Street to school No. 64;
* sidewalk along Tsiolkovsky Street parallel to the Penza State Architectural University;
* sidewalk from Ternopolskaya Street along gymnasium No. 13.
It is also planned to modernise four unregulated pedestrian crossings in the area of children's educational institutions. Those are:
* Burmistrov Street in the area of school No. 32;
* Shevchenko Street in the area of Lyceum of modern management technologies No. 2;
* Silikatnaya Street in the area of school No. 65/23;
* Antonov Street - in the area of cadet school No. 70.
The following activities will be carried out at these facilities:
* bracket supports installation;
* replacement of road signs 1.23 "Children" and 5.19.1 (5.19.2) "Pedestrian crossing" with signs on billboards with a yellow-green reflective surface (900x900 cm) and installation of additional road signs;
* installation of additional road signs 3.24 "Maximum speed limit" (up to 20 km/h) and 1.17, 5.20 "Speed control bump";
* installation of T7 traffic lights;
* installation of speed control bumps;
* installation of a pedestrian retaining fence.
