Following the results of the seminar-meeting of the All-Russian project "City of Labour Valour", the city of Penza is marked as one of the best in the country in terms of diversity and coverage of thematic events.
On May 1, Labour Day, Penza hosted events and actions dedicated to the labour feat of Penza residents during the Great Patriotic War. The program included educational events with schoolchildren and students, thematic events for citizens, festive concerts, cultural marathons, performances and excursions in the square of the 40th anniversary of the Victory. Thousands of residents and guests of the region took part in the events. As part of the Day of Unified Actions of the Cities of Labour Valour, a campaign was conducted to collect information about the labour dynasties of the city.
Among the best practices, the establishment of the Day of Labour Valour of the city of Penza (May 20), which was celebrated for the first time this year, was also noted at the initiative of the Governor of the Penza Oblast Oleg Melnichenko.  In addition, representatives of the federal project noted the song "Penza is a city of Labour Valour" written by Penza authors.
