The Ministry of Forestry, Hunting and Nature Management of the Penza Oblast was awarded for active participation in the environmental clean-up "Green Spring-2022" for significant contribution to environmental protection.
The awarding of the most active participants of the All-Russian ecological clean-up "Green Spring-2022" was held in Moscow as part of a solemn ceremony dedicated to the celebration of the Day of the Ecologist.
The All—Russian community clean-up "Green Spring - 2022" was held from April 23 to May 29, 2022.
In 2022, all municipalities of the Penza Oblast took part in the "Green Spring". More than two thousand people took part in it, and five thousand cubic meters of garbage were removed.
The project participants organized large citywide clean-ups, including specially protected natural areas, on the shores of reservoirs, in schools and kindergartens. The participants also carried out work on the arrangement of springs, elimination of unauthorized landfills, planting seedlings, and caring for green spaces.
For reference- The All-Russian clean-up "Green Spring" has been held since 2014. Its initiator is the non-governmental environmental foundation which is named after V.I. Vernadsky.
