VIII International Festival of Creativity and Needlework "Kanitel. Symphony of Painting"
VIII International Festival of Creativity and Needlework "Kanitel. Symphony of Painting"
Society 04.07.2022
In 2022, the International Festival of Creativity and Needlework "Kanitel. Symphony of Painting" for the first time became thematic - the guests of the festival got acquainted with painting on fabric, ceramics, glass, wood, metal and much more.
Masters engaged in artistic work in different fields gathered in the Sputnik microdistrict to show the residents of Penza and the guests of the city a variety of traditional crafts.
Dozens of inclusive classes for children and useful activities for adults, memorable shows and master classes by the best artisans of the country, a concert of local bands, the Nest Festival, photo zones, ancient Russian swings and carousels, a Bibliomobile, gifts and surprises from organizers and partners, tasting of foods and wellness training at the booth "Zdrava", booth "EcoPenza" and "For Kids!" are just some of the activities of Kanitel-2022.
"For us, each Kanitel is unique and amazing. But this one, the eighth, really broke all records," Lyudmila Timakova, CEO of PenzaHobby and permanent organizer the festival shared her impressions.
More than 600 participants from different parts of our country and Belarus presented a wide range of goods to Penza residents.
Under the leadership of Inoyat Zamakhina, the only ceramic fire sculpture of the Abashevo toy in Russia was created at Kanitel, the opening of which became the culmination of the festival and a symbol of the revival of Abashevo ceramics in Russia. Abashevo ceramics is an artistic craft that originated in the Penza region in 1616. Therefore, we, fellow countrymen, are especially happy to witness its modern transformation after 400 years.
The revival of traditions is the most important task of the festival.
The general partner of the event, the Greenworks company, supported the trend of returning to the roots and, teaming up with the famous woodworker Anna Morozova, gave everyone the opportunity to try themselves in wood processing.
7-10 excursion groups from the Volga and Central Federal District visited Kanitel-2022 daily. More than two thousand postcards were distributed all over Russia thanks to the memorable postcrossing of the Russian Post.
