On Thursday, April 13, 2023, near the village of Kondol of the Penza Oblast, the Ministry of Forestry, Hunting and Nature Management held an international action on planting the forest "Garden of Memory".
"The international action "Garden of Memory" is a great opportunity not only to say thank you to our ancestors, but also to preserve the memory of their feat for many years. Planting a tree is the least we can do in gratitude to our heroes," commented the Minister of Forestry, Hunting and Nature Management of the Penza Oblast Rishat Altynbayev.
As part of the campaign, 6 thousand pine seedlings were planted.
In recent years, this project has become the most popular in the Penza Oblast in terms of the number of participants. Among them are employees of the Ministry of Forestry, executive authorities, employees of the Akhunsko-Leninsky Forestry, Roslesinforg, representatives of enterprises, public organizations, Volunteers of Victory, the Forest Protection Center, and students of the Penza State University of Architecture and Construction.
The action is organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Federal Forestry Agency, Garden of Memory non-profit, Volunteers of Victory, Volunteers of the Forest, and the Victory Commanders Memorial Fund. In 2023, the campaign is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.
