Alley of Friendship Opened at Penza State University
Society 05.06.2023
The ceremony took place with the participation of Oleg Melnichenko, as part of the regional student forum "Dialogue of Cultures", on Thursday, May 18, 2023.
The forum brought together representatives of more than 50 countries of the world. It was held for the eleventh time with the grant support of the Federal Youth Agency.  The forum has become a free space for communication. It provides opportunities for creative growth and the exchange of ideas, forms respect for the traditions of different peoples, and strengthens international relations among young people.
The launch of the project this year was the opening of the Alley of Friendship on the territory of Penza State University.
Welcoming the forum participants, Oleg Melnichenko noted that representatives of 65 countries study at the largest university in the Penza Oblast.
"Russia was formed as a multinational state. Someone is trying to teach us how to live, and how to build relationships between peoples, nations, races. We don't need to be taught this. We have been living in peace and harmony for many hundreds of years. Let others learn from us," the governor stressed.
"One of the goals of our event today is to show that we are as friendly and united as never before. We are united not only with the peoples of our country, but also with the largest part of humanity. Representatives of many countries are present at our forum today," he said.
A traditional parade of flags took place, and Oleg Melnichenko talked with students from different countries. He visited Indian, Chinese, Arabic houses, the national expositions of Asian countries, and  the Russian, Belarusian, Tatar, Mordovian and Chuvash folk houses.
