Our region was among the six territories of the Russian Federation included in the pilot project "Social Route. Mobile Senator". Senators visit facilities, hold meetings, discuss issues of improving legislation in the field of social assistance in order to learn about effective regional projects.
In the N. F. Filatov Penza Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, the guests got acquainted with the work of the early childhood department. The medical institution is the only one in the region with emergency inpatient, outpatient surgical and traumatological care for children provided around the clock.
Inna Svyatenko noted that the modernization of health facilities is one of the areas that must be prioritized.
"First of all, it is necessary to change the routing, because it determines how quickly a small patient will receive the necessary medical care," the senator said. The second stage is rehabilitation, which requires equipment, resources, technologies and, of course, conditions. And the building of the Penza Regional Children's Hospital does not meet the requirements of successful rehabilitation. A project for the reconstruction of the building has already been developed and proposed in the region. Now it is being approved by the Federal Ministry of Health and the Social Policy. Our committee will keep this issue under control, provide the necessary assistance to ensure that the project is implemented as soon as possible."
The reconstruction of the early childhood department will create a modern trauma center with a dressing unit, a postoperative observation room with oxygen supply, an X-ray room, and a plaster room. There will be a separate entrance with a ramp, and a place for ambulances.
At the same time, the distribution of patient flows for the provision of operative care and patients who need conservative treatment will be ensured, which will improve the quality of care provided to patients with injuries and reduce the mortality rates of children.
In addition, the building will house a children's rehabilitation department with 30 beds, taking into account modern requirements for creating a barrier-free environment.
