The governor took part in a meeting headed the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the VFD, held in Perm.
The main topic of discussion was the organization of educational work with young people in modern conditions.
"Our strategic opponents claim that If you want to defeat your enemy, you should bring up his children. Worthy opposition to this challenge implies the systematic work of state authorities, educational structures and civil society to strengthen fundamental Russian values and create important images for young people of the future of the country in which they want to live and work," stated Igor Komarov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the RF President.
"Over the past two years, the state has been building an integral system of education: from changes in education legislation to large infrastructure and network projects and communities. Education is not just a service; it is the upbringing of a harmoniously developed personality. The formation of a new generation's worldview is a contribution to the future of our country," said Sergey Novikov, Head of the Presidential Department for Public Projects.
Representatives of the regions of the Volga Federal District shared their best practices. The Governor of the Penza Oblast dwelt in detail on the involvement of young people in law enforcement activities.
In December 2022, the police assistance unit "Tiger" was created, which is a people's volunteer squad and a prototype of a combat unit with its own uniform and insignia for the members.
Now in the Penza Oblast there are 28 units of the detachment, which includes more than 500 students of colleges and universities. Within a year and a half, the number of members is planned to increase to two thousand people. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rosgvardiya, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the Federal Penitentiary Service communicate with the unit.
In eight months of 2023, 20 crimes and about 1,400 administrative offenses were prevented with the help of the unit.
"On top of everything else, this is a great project for personal development," Oleg Melnichenko stressed. We are ready to share our best practices with other regions, and we would like to make a proposal that the Ministry of Defense decides to add additional points to the results of the Unified State Exam to children from such organizations to enter certain universities."
