Penza NGO Goes to Final of #МЫВМЕСТЕ Award
Society 02.11.2023
The popular vote for the finalists of the International Award #МЫВМЕСТЕ 2023 has started.
The award was established on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin to support meaningful initiatives aimed at helping people and improving the quality of life.
This year, almost 40,000 applications were received during the campaign, which is five thousand more than in 2022. In total, 128 best social projects from 48 regions of Russia became finalists of the award. Among them is the project "More Than Sport", which is being implemented in the Penza Oblast by the Adaptive Sports Organization.
The goal of the More Than Sport project is to create conditions for the development of the sledge hockey movement in Russia. Several children's teams were created, and one of them (Meteor) is from Kuznetsk, Penza Oblast.
Sledge hockey can be played by children aged 6 to 17 years with various forms of disability: musculoskeletal, mental and hearing impairments. The project team plans to teach sledge hockey to 200 more children and teenagers with disabilities from 17 regions of Russia.
You can vote for the Penza NGO project until November 6 on the website.
The winners will be announced in December at the International Forum of Civic Participation #МЫВМЕСТЕ. They will receive a grant of up to 3 million rubles, and support from leading experts and organizations.
