The meeting of the governor with the head of Rosstandart (Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology) took place in the government of the Penza Oblast.
Anton Shalayev paid a visit to Lyceum N14. Since September 1, 2023, an agreement has been in force to open the first metrological class at the educational institution.
"The Penza Oblast is traditionally famous for its engineering staff, even in Soviet times there were many enterprises involved in the development of high-tech products. It is very important for Rosstandart to instill in children an interest in engineering professions from school. Not only a metrologist or a standardization engineer, any technically competent specialist should know these basics, and it is best to do this in practice. Therefore, we have transferred the sets of the digital metrological laboratory to the lyceum," said the head of Rosstandart.
"Thank you for your attention to our region, this is a very interesting educational project," the governor stressed. The lyceum has recently started working in a new capacity. The school has been redesigned, new profiles have appeared (physics, chemistry, and mathematics). This is aimed at career guidance for young people, and at training personnel for our industry."
The Governor also called the cooperation of Rosstandart with Penza enterprises an important area of work.
"We will find out what support measures plants and factories need to develop in modern conditions, including to create and bring to market equipment that will not only replace the production that has gone because of sanctions, but will also be able to surpass them. We keep an online register of import substitution of metrological equipment," Anton Shalayev informed Oleg Melnichenko.
It is planned that the head of Rosstandart will visit the Scientific Research Institute of Mechanical Devices, the Center for Regional Standardization, Metrology and Testing, and the Geotech scientific and production enterprise.
