On February 3, an industry day dedicated to tourism was held at the Russia exhibition and forum.
The regions talked about their unique places and attractions so that Russian residents would have many opportunities to travel around the country.
The business program of the Tourism Day was opened by a plenary session with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Inna Svyatenko, and Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov.
Heads of executive authorities of the regions and industry experts took part in the event. Sergei Bychkov, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Penza Oblast, and Deputy Minister Ildar Mavlyudov were also among the invited guests.
"Now we are going through a stage when the modern tourism industry is actively being formed in Russia: work is underway to modernize industry legislation, popularize professions, and develop tourism infrastructure to achieve the goals of the national Tourism and Hospitality Industry project.  Representatives of the regions were familiarized with the relevant achievements," Minister Sergei Bychkov commented on the participation in the plenary session.
During the day, various presentations were held at the Penza Oblast stand (Pavilion N75): the Tarkhany Museum-Reserve, the Association of Literary Museums, "Kvartal Lui" inclusive tourism project are popular tourist routes of the region.
The Gornitsa ensemble performed folk, pop, and instrumental compositions.
The Penza Oblast also held 6 sweepstakes. A three-day trip to the Art Penza country hotel complex went to a resident of Obninsk (Kaluga Oblast); a two-day trip to the Maple Grove Park Hotel went to a resident of Ivanteyevka (Moscow Oblast).
The Abashev toy was won by a Muscovite; Penza sweets were won by a resident of Yaroslavl. Maple syrup will go to Smolensk, and the shopping bag will go to Orenburg.
