On Tuesday, April 9, the grand opening of the Center for the Prevention of Cognitive Disorders took place.
The opening of the center was made possible due the implementation of the federal project "Older Generation", which is part of the national project "Demography", where the main emphasis is placed on creating conditions for active longevity.
According to Irina Puzrakova, Chief physician of the Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention, the center is an efficient format of joint work with the All-Russian public movement "Medical Volunteers", which will help to prevent cognitive disorders and preserve the health of older citizens. We want our people not only to live long, but also to be healthy."
The project "Memory of Generations" has been implemented jointly with the "Деменция.net" charity for more than two years.
The Penza Oblast is among the top five regions that received support for the opening of such a center in 2024. Now there are 20 such centers in Russia.
During the opening ceremony, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Regional Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention and the Penza regional branch of the All-Russian public Movement "Medical Volunteers".
