Governor Oleg Melnichenko, and Termodom CEO Rafik Ibragimov took part in a solemn ceremony dedicated to the start of a new microdistrict construction.
The project will be implemented in the village of Michurinsky, Penza Oblast. Construction will be carried out on a 900-hectare site.
The "Yuga" microdistrict will combine individual housing construction and apartment buildings no higher than 5 floors. The project provides activity zones for local residents and recreation in sports and wellness centers. It is assumed that the population of the microdistrict will exceed 52 thousand people.
The Governor stressed that the new microdistrict will be provided with infrastructure.
"All the necessary facilities for life, including schools and kindergartens, will be located here. It is symbolic that we are laying the foundation stone in the Year of the Family, " said Oleg Melnichenko. "We expect that many strong, friendly and happy families will live in this area, including those with many children."
"As our President Vladimir Putin said, large families need housing, and for this it is necessary to develop housing construction. Thank you to everyone who carries out this work in the Penza Oblast!", he added.
The Governor stated that the foundation of the microdistrict takes place on the eve of the Victory Day.
"I am sure that the first houses will appear here next year. I propose to name one of the main streets in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. We will celebrate this glorious anniversary in 2025. Let the young people who will live in this microdistrict remember about their heroic ancestors, about the price paid for prosperous life and peaceful sky."
Oleg Melnichenko and Rafik Ibragimov laid a capsule with a message for future residents of the microdistrict at the base of the memorial stone.
