A video gastroscope worth more than two million rubles was delivered to the Nikolsk regional hospital.
"This year, our hospital should receive five units of new equipment," said Valery Bondar, chief physician of the Nikolsk Hospital. In May, the video gastroscope arrived. Thanks to the new diagnostic equipment, we are able to detect a whole range of diseases."
The device is intended for diagnostics of patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and lower respiratory tract.
The presence of a video camera allows to receive a detailed image of organs and detect various diseases, including cancer, at an early stage.
The chief physician noted that in comparison with the equipment of the previous generation, this device is more convenient for the patient and the doctor (it is lighter and provides a better digital image).
The medical equipment is purchased at the expense of various regional and federal programs aimed at gradually re-equipping health care facilities.
One of the priority areas is re-equipment of rural medical institutions. Most equipment is purchased under the program "Modernization of primary health care for 2021-2025". The implementation of this program made it possible to update diagnostic equipment in almost all rural medical institutions since 2021.
