In 2024, 47 regional projects are being implemented in the Penza Region as part of 13 national projects.
The interaction that the Government of the Penza Oblast has built between regional and municipal authorities allows the region to occupy a leading position in the country.
Thus, the region is among top five in the implementation of the "Safe high-quality roads" project. Work on all planned 166 sites was completed on time (before September 1). New transport interchanges have also been built in Penza and on the 624 kilometer of the M-5 highway (the latter has been launched in test mode).
"I always urge the heads of regional departments and municipalities to pay more attention to the requests of residents– people know better what and where to change, build, or create. Therefore, national projects help to realize the wishes of Penza residents," commented Oleg Melnichenko.
Thanks to the project "Formation of a comfortable urban environment", 65 territories are being improved in 34 municipalities. Residents of the region identified the objects by online voting or through public discussion. Currently, 58 public spaces and courtyards are renovated.
"Only in August, squares and pedestrian zones in 10 settlements were put in order. And since 2021, more than 250 spaces have been renovated according to the project, always taking into account the opinion of residents. The activity of citizens undoubtedly helps to develop the territories," Oleg Melnichenko said.
According to the project "Sport is Life" of the national project "Demography", the construction of a sports and recreation complex in Penza has been completed. According to the project "Modern School" of the national project "Education", four schools have been built.
"We are doing everything to ensure that children study in modern schools, that cities and towns are landscaped, and that our citizens work and relax in comfortable conditions. If life is changing for the better, then we are going the right way," Oleg Melnichenko summed up.
